We own two beautiful boxers, Dozer and Daisy, which are the foundation of our boxer family. We believe in breeding healthy, beautiful, family friendly boxers primarily for family companionship but, as time allows in the future, we hope to enter the show arena.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08617172559239257137noreply@blogger.comBlogger8125tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926945254813155622.post-46961273140664683142009-12-09T17:12:00.000-08:002009-12-09T17:17:44.528-08:00Ace, Abby and "Last"<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/SyBL6jhIQ4I/AAAAAAAAACw/2l69dRs2ssE/s1600-h/mlive2.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5413410221438026626" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 241px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/SyBL6jhIQ4I/AAAAAAAAACw/2l69dRs2ssE/s320/mlive2.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>We have just 3 puppies left. We are accepting deposits now on all Lucky Babies.<br /><br />They will be 7 weeks old on Tuesday, September 15th, 2009.<br /><br />Daisy whelped a beautiful litter of 8 puppies on Tuesday, July 28th, 2009. All together we have 3 males and 5 females.<br /><br />Ace - the first born. He is a flashy brindle male who is just growing and growing. He came out ready to eat and hasn't stopped since.<br /><br />Bruno - number 2. Bruno is a flashy reverse brindle male. He's beautiful! The best part about him is probably his personality. He seems to be pretty easy going.<br /><br />Abby - the third born, but the first girl. Abby is a beautiful flashy reverse brindle female. She is very dark and again, lovely little personality. She is a snuggler!<br /><br />Ava - 4th baby, second girl. Ava is a dark reverse brindle female. She has the prettiest little black mask and seems to be very independent...so far.<br /><br />Charlie - number 5, third girl. Charlie is a pretty little flashy fawn female. She is the sweetest little lover and she's the runt of the litter. Runts are my favorite!<br /><br />Lucky - number 6, fourth girl. Lucky is a beautiful flashy reverse brindle female. Lucky got stuck and stopped the labor process resulting in our first trip to the vet. She made it when even the vet wasn't sure she would come out alive. We're super lucky to have her!<br /><br />Seven - number 7, fifth girl. Seven is another flashy female fawn. She is a big girl with a funny little personality that makes her so endearing. She has the cutest little yawn!<br /><br />Last - number 8, the last boy. Last is another big guy! He is a flashy brindle male and is a little tank! He and Ace are a matched set.Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08617172559239257137noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926945254813155622.post-26757867527696719652009-08-09T10:21:00.000-07:002009-08-09T14:44:42.528-07:00Lucky Boy!<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/Sn9B2AFRJkI/AAAAAAAAABk/1-lfoKezMxE/s1600-h/dozer.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368081676839757378" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/Sn9B2AFRJkI/AAAAAAAAABk/1-lfoKezMxE/s320/dozer.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/Sn9BQ0aohBI/AAAAAAAAABc/f_1j6Eyf5oo/s1600-h/dozer.jpg"></a><br /><br /><div>Dozer is the reason we decided to make the transition from boxer lovers to boxer breeders. Dozer has been a part of the family since 2004. He was the second boxer for Jennifer and the bond that formed between them became something truly special.<br /><br />There is no doubt that Dozer is a handsome fella, but it is his personality that really shines. He has that typical boxer personality that screams "puppy for life", but he is the consummate gentleman: noble, caring, patient and sincere. Like all boxers, his face reveals his heart, and his eyes express his soul. He is the ideal family companion, and our children will agree, the perfect accomplice!</div></div>Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08617172559239257137noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926945254813155622.post-44693887290514048212009-08-09T10:20:00.000-07:002009-08-12T05:28:30.079-07:00Lucky Lady!<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/Sn9DG_kQMZI/AAAAAAAAAB0/3GclYvDDk9I/s1600-h/Daisy+and+Dozer.jpg"></a><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/Sn83RPSvmtI/AAAAAAAAAAk/6myvdlaMn1E/s1600-h/FAmily+pictures+016.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5368070050151373522" style="FLOAT: left; MARGIN: 0px 10px 10px 0px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/Sn83RPSvmtI/AAAAAAAAAAk/6myvdlaMn1E/s320/FAmily+pictures+016.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div>Daisy is the lady of the house! We brought her into our family in 2007 when we finally decided we would be ready to breed in the next few years. Daisy won us over with her outgoing charm and her playful nature. When we met her for the first time, we just knew that her personality combined with Dozer's would produce beautiful babies with great personalities. Once we got her home and saw how effortlessly Dozer and Daisy bonded, we knew she was our girl. The moment that sealed the deal: Dozer was asleep on the floor so that he could cuddle with Daisy (because she was too small to get on the couch) when she climbed up on top of him and fell asleep in his fur. They were soul mates!</div><div> </div><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_TbQ85CXJ2ss/Sn9CofZyScI/AAAAAAAAABs/xkpRTdNBZjs/s1600-h/Daisy+and+Dozer.jpg"></a> </div><br /><div></div><br /><div></div></div>Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08617172559239257137noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926945254813155622.post-32631152037562042872009-08-09T10:06:00.000-07:002009-08-11T15:24:55.709-07:00Lucky You!Getting a boxer is a big deal.<br /><br />Getting a Lucky Boxer is a really big deal!<br /><br />There are lots of things you absolutely should do before you commit to getting a Boxer. First of all, ask yourself if you are a Boxer person. Do you want a playful dog with energy and personality, or do you want a dog that is calm and laid back? If you aren't interested in a high energy buddy for life, then the Boxer is not the breed for you. Seek elsewhere! (Try Labradors or Basset Hounds, they're wonderfully laid back)<br /><br />Boxers love their people...all of their people. They love "Mom" and "Dad". They love the children. They love your other four legged children. They will love the entire family. It is for this reason that you must be ready and willing to include your Boxer in your family activities. If you aren't ready for that, be prepared for the saddest thing ever: a depressed Boxer. Or better yet, seek elsewhere, because the Boxer is not the breed for you. (Try cats, they aren't so needy)<br /><br />If you are looking for the funniest clown with the most beautiful smile, an eager pal, a gentle shoulder of support, a low maintenance running buddy, a sincere and warm heart and the best friend you'll ever have, then thank your lucky stars because the Boxer is for you!Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08617172559239257137noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5926945254813155622.post-11534223997879180432009-08-09T10:05:00.001-07:002009-09-06T19:43:45.896-07:00Get Lucky! So here it is folks...the details:<br /><br />Check out our slide show on Flickr, or our ads on Next Day Pets. Bragg, North Carolina with the army, I was influenced by lots of boxer lovers I knew. I was taken with the boxer charm, their expressive eyes and noble, powerful appearance. In 2001 I welcomed my first boxer, Sheba, into the family. She was a beautiful six month old brindle female with a black mask.<br /><br />After responding to advertisement after advertisement in a local paper for boxer puppies I arrived at a breeder who didn't look very promising. In fact, he looked like he ran a set up for dog fighting. I was about to leave when a cold nose tapped me on the back of the knee. When I turned around I saw the saddest excuse for a dog I had ever met. They called her "Queeny" then, and the man said she was his wife's dog and that they originally bought her to breed with their biggest male, but because she was too friendly, they decided against the match. She was skinny (really skinny), had patches of hair missing from her coat, and she was covered in ticks from head to toe. "Queeny" had been literally living in a hole under the back steps of the house. I asked the man how much he wanted for her and he told me he couldn't sell her because his wife was just in love with her. I asked him how much it would take to convince his wife to sell her, and he told me she just wasn't for sale. I gave "Queeny" a hug and left for home discouraged. When I got home I couldn't shake the thought of that poor little puppy and so I called the man and again asked him how much he would sell her to me for. He finally settled on a price of $500.00 so I immediately went to the ATM, grabbed the cash and went to pick up my girl!<br /><br />Sheba was amazing! We took a road trip to Michigan a few days later and bonded the entire time. I cleaned the ticks off of her, bathed her and gave her all the love and food she could imagine. Eventually she gained weight and her coat began to glow. Her beautiful exterior reflected the beauty of her soul. We were the best of friends doing everything together. Her lovely personality and warm heart convinced me that boxers were the dog for me through and through.<br /><br />Unfortunately, orders came down and I was assigned to a new post where my job in the army would make life with a dog difficult. I placed Sheba with a lovely family in Fayetteville, North Carolina where she still lives today. My experience with Sheba proved to be the beginning of a long love affair with boxers. <div><div></div><br /><div>Today, Lucky Boxers is a labor of love between my husband Bron and I, and our two boys Zach and Finn. Bron came from a Husky breeding family and had never owned a boxer until we met. In fact, introducing Bron to Dozer was as big a part of our first date as our good night smooch. I absolutely knew that any man I was involved with must love boxers too. Boy did I luck out!<br /></div><div>When we got the news that Finn was going to be born, we decided to get our second boxer so that she would grow up with the new baby. It has always been important to me to have the dogs as involved with the family as possible. They are our family too! And what a great decision that was on our part to get Daisy when we did. When Finn was born, Dozer and Daisy proved, yet again, how wonderful they are. They would carefully lay next to Finn and me during tummy time. They would sit with me through late night feedings, and pace with me through nearly 4 months of colick. They patiently lay down while Finn plays cowboy or Zach plays shoot 'em up. They have confirmed what I had suspected all along before I had my own children: boxers are the most wonderful family dogs, and great with kids! I believe, no matter the breed, all dogs must be supervised in the presence of little ones, but boxers are truly as gentle, patient, and loving as you can hope them to be with your littlest treasures.</div><div></div><br /><div>At this point in time, Lucky Boxers isn't breeding with the goal of producing "champions" by title, but that doesn't mean we aren't breeding for quality. We do not show our boxers, yet. We aren't in a position at this time to make that kind of commitment. However, we are, and always will be committed to producing boxers that exemplify the breed standard. We are serious about producing happy, healthy, quality puppies with a temperament that is sound, and personalities that rival the grandest of champions. In fact, if we never take our dogs to the show ring, the idea is that you can show your Lucky Boxer if you wish, and feel confident that you have a fine animal representing you in the arena.<br /></div><div>Whether you want a Lucky Boxer for show, or for the best family companion you could ever purchase, we promise this: once you get a Lucky Boxer of your very own, you'll thank your lucky stars you did. </div></div>Jenniferhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08617172559239257137noreply@blogger.com0
